Wet Tropics Women In Sugar is the most northern group located south of Cairns. The group was formed in 2007 to help connect women in the sugar industry of the local area.

Vision

To bring together women to support and enhance cane growing families and communities by building networks of information, friendship and resources.

Aims

• To provide a stimulating and interesting forums for discussion and debate on all issues affecting cane growing women
• To network with other groups within the Australian sugar growing regions
• To foster and develop a learning culture within our local sugar community
• To raise the status and leadership of all cane growing women
• To promote the value and diversity of cane growing within primary industries and rural communities

About the Group

The group has an open house policy where any person within the sugar industry is welcome to be apart of the organisation.

No cost is attached to being apart of the group.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at Tully Canegrowers Board Room 9am.
